If you search for Seth Rich in Twitter and look at the latest mentions, a large percentage of tweets are ones bashing Fox News (especially Sean Hannity) as purveyors of an orchestrated plot to create a conspiracy linking Seth to Wikileaks.
To be fair to Fox News, they only went all in with their Seth Rich coverage when one of their contributors, Ellen Ratner, allegedly told many of her Fox friends about her 6 hour meeting with Julian Assange in late 2016 where according to Ed Butowsky, they discussed the role of Seth Rich.
Most people have no idea of the evidence revealed in court filings that point to there being at least a 50/50 chance of his being involved.
As a disclaimer, I admit I have no inside knowledge about Seth. I just analyze what I have uncovered by reading court documents and listening to key participants being interviewed.
If all of this has been a conspiracy, here is the chain of events that would have occurred.
1) Julian Assange of Wikileaks intentionally mislead a Dutch interviewer by mentioning Seth in a 2016 interview.
2) Assange also mislead millions of Twitter users by liking tweets mentioning the role of Seth in the Wikileaks leak.
3) Assange lied to Ellen Ratner about Seth’s involvement
4) Ed Butowsky lied about what Ellen told him or Ellen intentionally or unintentionally mislead Ed.
5) Sy Hersh made up his source when he was secretly recorded by Ed or Sy Hersh’s source intentionally mislead Sy.
6) Ed lied or was set up when he claims to have listened to a phone call recording of Assange discussing paying Seth for information
7) Ed lied or was set up when he disclosed that a member of the executive branch told him in 2017 of viewing an FBI document concerning Seth’s computer files.
This is a partial list. Other areas of interest include the investigation by Malia Zimmerman and in some cases, the investigation of Rod Wheeler.
The one overwhelming clue that Seth was being investigated for his potential role in the DNC leak is the FBI has finally admitted to having thousands of responsive documents related to him. This was revealed in an ongoing FOIA case.
In addition, the NSA has also admitted having responsive documents.
In the FOIA case, the FBI also admits they have Seth’s laptop. This is particularly interesting because a representative of Seth’s family was secretly recorded by a reporter. In the recording, Brad Bauman, denies that the FBI was even involved in any aspects of the case. It is possible, there was a misunderstanding between Brad and the FBI.

To be fair, the documents in the possession of the intelligence agencies could prove that Seth was not involved and that he was a pawn in a sophisticated cyber attack. However, if that were the case, the Mueller report probably would have revealed that.
Speaking of the Mueller report, it tried to discount any possible role by Seth by claiming that Wikileaks received its DNC emails from Guccifer 2 on July 14th, 2016. Seth died 4 days earlier.
Unfortunately, for the Mueller report, the alleged file that was sent to Wikileaks was never published (based on alternative reporting).
